ShadFilm — Online Movie & Series Streaming Platform

Overview

ShadFilm is a full online movie, series and animation streaming platform that I designed and built end-to-end — from backend architecture to the frontend user interface. The site is live and actively serving real users, and holds an official Iranian e-trust (Enamad) certification.

• Access to 3,000+ movie, series and animation titles across multiple genres
• Advanced search and filtering for quickly browsing content by type (movies/series)
• A tiered subscription system (monthly, 4-month, 8-month and 12-month plans), each with its own pricing and online payment integration
• Passwordless phone-number + SMS OTP authentication
• A dedicated "Haft Rang" sub-brand for kids' content within the same platform
• An educational-content section alongside movies and series for catalog variety
• A dedicated admin panel for managing content, users and subscriptions

Technical Architecture

The backend is built with Laravel and exposes a RESTful API consumed by the frontend; this clean separation allows both layers to be developed and scaled independently. The frontend is a Vue.js 3 single-page application that delivers a smooth, no-full-reload browsing experience. The UI is styled with Tailwind CSS, the primary database is MySQL, and deployment is managed with Docker and Nginx.

My Role

I was fully responsible for the architecture, backend implementation (content management, users, subscriptions, OTP authentication), frontend development and UI, as well as deployment and ongoing maintenance.
