When Should You Reach for TypeScript?

The Basics
Type inference means you often don't need to explicitly annotate a variable's type — the compiler figures it out for you.
When It Actually Makes Sense
TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript — every valid piece of JavaScript is also valid TypeScript. The TypeScript compiler outputs plain JavaScript; browsers never execute TypeScript directly. The right call usually depends on your project's scale, team, and real needs — not just a tool's popularity.
